DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, December 1st @ 7:00 pm\, the Oratory of the Holy Family will host the Festival of Lessons and Carols. To honor the First Friday devotions\, we will be praying the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary at 6:15 pm. After the Festival of Lessons and Carols concludes there will be free hot cocoa and cookies for those who wish to stay and enjoy some fellowship. \nThe Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century.  In this service\, we listen to nine Scripture lessons that recount the Fall\, the promise of a Messiah\, the Incarnation\, and the Great Commission to preach the Good News.  Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the lesson’s message and a brief prayer. Their ranks will be swelled by the youths of other nations whom Our Lady also calls to help in the accomplishment of this great renewal.” -Diary of Sister Mary Ephrem \nOn the First Saturday of May\, we will be celebrating a children’s Mass with May crowning at Our Lady\, Patroness of America Center. We would love to see young people leading the Rosary beforehand\, participating as greeters and readers\, crowning Our Lady\, and/or singing in the choir. If your child(ren) would like to participate\, please send an email to claire.s@patronessofamerica.org. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 am and the Mass will begin at 11 am on Saturday\, May 4th. Father Louis Fowoyo will be the main celebrant. After Mass\, a free meal will be provided by The Orchid Catering.
