DESCRIPTION:The Oratory welcomes back Monsignor Joseph Schaedel from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. \nAfter we received Bishop Kevin Rhoades’ decree in November 2020 establishing the Our Lady\, Patroness of America Center as a place of Pilgrimage and allowing the Sacraments of the Church in the Chapel\, we were allowed the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.   On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception\, December 8th\, 2020 (the height of the COVID-19 pandemic)\, Monsignor Schaedel offered the First Mass under the Bishop’s Decree in our Chapel. Events for 2020 Feast of The Immaculate Conception – Mass Live Streamed Dec. 8 – Our Lady Patroness of America Center.  The homily is worth revisiting. \nMonsignor has been a steadfast and fervent supporter of the devotion to Our Lady\, the Immaculate Virgin\, Patroness of America (Our Lady of America); during the long years of litigation to free the devotion from false claims of ownership\, Monsignor was an advocate\, advisor\, and friend. \nIn November 2007\, Monsignor welcomed the Our Lady of America statue to the Indianapolis parish of Holy Rosary\, where he was assigned as Pastor.  Our Lady of America – Indianapolis Visitation \nThe Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered at 6 p.m. on the first Friday of September in the Oratory of the Holy Family in reparation for offenses against the Sacred Heart of Jesus. At 4:30pm the Pilgrimage will conclude with Benediction at the Oratory of the Holy Family and a Cookout on the Plaza. \nPark at Patroness of America Center at 2730 E Northport Rd\, Rome City\, Ind. There will be 4 starting points for people prepared to walk various distances. Buses will shuttle you to your starting point by the schedule below: \nPlease help us better plan – RSVP!\n\n \n\n\n  \n  \nSTARTING POINTS (Marked on the Map):\n\n\n\n7.3 mi. Starts at 1pm. Bus leaves at 12:30pm. Location: Trail behind Max Platt Ford Dealership.\n6.2 mi. Starts at 2pm. Bus leaves at 1:30pm. Location: Parking lot by trail on CR 600 E.\n3.3 mi. Starts at 3pm.
