Tours and presentations are held at 11:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Group tours are available by appointment. The tour takes about 90 minutes, but they can go longer with many questions. If you can’t stay the whole time, you may leave at any time without offending the presenter.
The presentation reviews the history of the Kneipp Springs Sanitarium (Hospital), where patients with chronic illnesses such as tuberculosis and Spanish Flu were treated. The devotion to Our Lady, Patroness of America, is also explained as the historical roots that pass through Rome City, Indiana.
We will also visit the Oratory, the Bishop’s suite, and the Sister’s private chapel where Sr. Mary Ephrem was mystically inspired with the devotion to Our Lady, the Immaculate Virgin, Patroness of America.
While this presentation emphasizes the Catholic understanding of Salvation History, it is open to people of all faiths or those still searching.
Some days, we are unable to present due to staffing conflicts. To be safe, call to let us know you are coming.
