Our Lady and the Saint Joseph – Rekindle the Fire Men’s Conference South Bend

On February 21st, we had the great joy of being exhibitors at the 2026 Rekindle the Fire Men’s Conference. This was our third year having a booth, but it was our first year attending in South Bend. It was great to get the message of the devotion out to the South Bend half of our diocese. We saw many familiar faces, but met even more new ones. Since the conference, we have had many pilgrims from South Bend stop by to take a tour of the center.

As sponsors, we also got the opportunity to give a short presentation to attendees after lunch. Al Langsenkamp, shared our 30 second promo video and shared for a few minutes about the devotion. It was primarily a short invitation to learn more about the devotion, and also to know that this message is for every one of us, not just Sister Mary Ephrem. He also challenged the men in particular to answer her call, as the leaders of their families.

We also gave away a 14″ statue of Our Lady of America. Carl Shane Brown was our giveaway winner!

It has been a real grace to attend conferences, have so many great conversations, and increase our outreach efforts. From the banks of the Saint Joseph River to the California coast, we have lots more to come!

50 Years Later – The Return of Holy Week at the Oratory

That first taste of springtime, we all feel it; A little surge of energy and hope as the weather warms and the flowers start to bloom. Everything is waking up. At the heart of the season, we celebrate Easter, a God who has woken up from death once and for all, bringing us a new life and new hope.

Following the National Eucharistic Congress last year, it seems like the Church has stepped into a springtime all Her own. Reports of record numbers of conversions, particularly on college campuses and among the youth. Those who have been skeptical of their childhood faith, suddenly being moved to return home. It’s been a particularly vibrant springtime in Rome City as well. Half a dozen candidates are preparing to enter into full communion with the Church this Easter at Saint Gaspar parish.

We have been blessed to host Saint Gaspar at the Oratory of the Holy Family since last fall as they expand their campus to accommodate their growing congregation. We had the great joy of celebrating the first Christmas at the Oratory since 1975 with them, now we have the great joy of celebrating the first Holy Week since 1975 in a consecrated chapel. It has been very life-giving to see the return of holy days and sacraments at the Center.

The liturgical schedule is listed below. We would love to have you join in these historic, springtime celebrations as we commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ.
