Our Lady of Victory, Our Lady of the Rosary

While Mary is honored throughout the year, May is specifically set aside for special devotion to her as the Mother of God and spiritual mother of all. One of the best ways to honor her is to recite the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  This Christ-centered prayer is a means to share in the life of Christ through the eyes of His Mother. 

The Rosary, as St. Dominic witnessed during his mission to the Albigensians (the source of the Albigensian Heresy), is also a powerful prayer for increasing the receptivity of souls to orthodox preaching.

Many have shared that devoutly praying the Rosary has brought them graces of a more personal nature, such as healing and the fulfillment of long-desired prayer intentions.

The benefits of what Pope St. John Paul II called “an exquisitely contemplative prayer” were enumerated in a special way by a 15th-century Dominican friar. According to tradition, Alanus de Rupe received the following 15 promises to those who pray the Rosary devoutly from the Blessed Virgin Mary herself through a private revelation.
